SKS Resource Centre
SKS Foundation launched its development journey in Bharatkhali, Saghata, Gaibandha in 1987 and remains rooted at that rustic char location. Concerning this, SKS Foundation has turned its Bharatkhali set up back in 2021 as SKS Resource Centre. The SKS Resource Centre is considered a vital hub for skill development and knowledge acquisition, supporting individuals, institutions and communities in their forward journey. Spanning 10 acres of land, enriched with lush green fields and varieties of species of plants, the Centre continues to thrive as a dynamic institution for learning, creativity, and community engagement.
SKS Resource Centre is committed to enhancing technical, vocational, and life skills. It’s a suitable centre for organising a wide range of interpersonal events & courses aimed at community members, students, professionals, and researchers. Serving as both an educational and information hub, the Centre focuses on employability, essential community services, counselling, legal advice, and access to data and research resources. It also supports entrepreneurs and small businesses, contributing to local economic growth while promoting cultural and recreational activities that foster social cohesion.
Situated near the scenic Jamuna River, it also promotes economic growth, skill-building, and the cultural heritage of the char regions, providing technical assistance, training, workshops, credit offerings, and marketing support to local producers, helping them improve product quality and competitiveness.
I wish the SKS Resource Centre would continue as a potential domain under SKS Enterprise, while relevant organisations, professionals and all other relevant stakeholders will be enriched by availing the services of the Centre.
