Hygiene Management
Hygienically managing a Resource Centre is essential to ensure the well-being of both staff and visitors while maintaining the quality and accessibility of the resources available. Traditional methods of managing such spaces might no longer be sufficient in the face of evolving challenges, such as ongoing global health concerns. To address these challenges, several alternative options can be considered:

Hygiene Stations: Setting up hygiene stations with hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, and masks at the entrance and various points within the resource centre can encourage visitors to maintain good hygiene practices while using the facility.
Regular Sanitization and Cleaning: Implementing a strict schedule for regular cleaning and disinfection of the resource centre can prevent the buildup of germs and viruses. High-touch surfaces such as tables, chairs, computer keyboards, and doorknobs should be frequently cleaned.
Flexible Furniture Arrangements: Opting for modular and easily rearrange able furniture can facilitate maintaining physical distancing guidelines while utilizing the available space efficiently.
Health and Safety Guidelines: Displaying clear health and safety guidelines throughout the resource centre reminds visitors to maintain proper hygiene practices and follow social distancing norms.
Implement proper waste disposal procedures: Waste disposal procedures should be in place to ensure that waste is disposed of in a sanitary manner. This includes segregating waste, using proper containers, and regularly cleaning and disinfecting waste disposal areas.
Educate staff and visitors about hygiene: Staff and visitors should be educated about the importance of hygiene and how to practice it effectively. This can be done through training sessions, posters, and other educational materials.

The resource centre follows more hygiene standards, for example:
* Use separate utensils for raw and cooked food to avoid cross-contamination.
* We store food properly, in clean, dry containers and at the right temperature.
* Refrigerate leftovers immediately, they can be refrigerated within two hours of cooking.
* RC uses clean water in its treatment plant for drinking, cooking and washing.
* Immediate elimination of insects and rodents.
* Maintenance RC Clean and disinfect surfaces regularly. Frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, counters and light switches are regularly cleaned and disinfected.
